Best NAD+ Supplement

Best NAD+ Supplement

If you want to boost your energy, focus, mood, and sleep, along with healthy aging benefits, a NAD+ supplement may be worth trying for fast, effective results. But, with so many options, what is the best NAD+ supplement?

The truth is not all NAD+ supplements are created equal; most are precursors to NAD+ instead of NAD+ itself, which is unstable. Precursors are poorly absorbed and require high dosages to boost NAD+ levels in the body. Core Med Science has circumvented these limitations by offering a liposomal formula, which stabilizes NAD+ and improves absorption.

Keep reading to learn about the best NAD+ supplement for you, including:

•  NAD+ basics

• NAD precursors (and limitations)

• Liposomal NAD+ technology

Let’s dive in!

NAD+ Basics

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) is the active form of niacin, vitamin B3, that plays multiple roles in every cell of the body, including as a cofactor in energy metabolism. You can’t turn food into energy without it! (Source 1)

As you age, NAD+ levels decline, influencing cellular function, disease risk, and lifespan. Restoring NAD+ levels is a significant focus in anti-aging medicine because it helps reverse aging and age-related diseases, including metabolic disease and muscle loss. (Source 1)

Some lifestyle habits like exercise, good sleep, and intermittent fasting can boost NAD+ levels. Read more in How to Increase NAD+ Levels Naturally.

Additionally, supplementation (with the proper form and dose) helps restore NAD+ levels quickly. Many people who supplement with NAD+ directly notice immediate benefits to energy and focus.

NAD+ Precursors

The most common NAD+ supplements on the shelves don’t contain NAD+ at all. Instead, they contain molecules that the body can convert into NAD+. When you read the label, you may see:

• Nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN)

 Nicotinamide riboside (NR)

 Nicotinamide (NAM) (Source 2)

Oral supplements containing NR or NMN aren’t absorbed well. When absorbed, they may make it to the liver but not to the tissues throughout the body where needed. Additionally, you may need a high dose (such as 1000 to 2000 mg of NR) to see an increase in NAD+ levels in the body. (Source 2, 3)

When you take NAD+ itself, instead of the precursors, you skip the conversion steps, and cells can directly and quickly gain access to NAD+.

However, NAD+ is an antioxidant and, therefore, unstable in its active form. It wants to grab electrons from free radicals and turn into NADH. As NADH it needs to regenerate back to NAD+ to be useful again. (See the diagram above).

One way to stabilize NAD+ is by administering it via IV therapy, where NAD+ is delivered directly into the bloodstream and is bioavailable to cells. But, IV therapy is expensive and not widely available to all the people who could benefit from this incredible molecule.

Liposomal NAD+

Liposomal technology allows Core Med Science to solve the stability and absorption issues with traditional NAD+ supplements. A liposome essentially mimics your body’s own cell membranes and encompasses the NAD+ molecules, allowing for better absorption, stability, and bioavailability.

Core Med Science Liposomal NAD+ uses phospholipid liposomes derived from sunflower. It’s soy-free, GMO-free, and allergen-friendly. Additionally, because of the improvements in delivery, you don’t need high doses like you do with the precursors. Core Med Science Liposomal NAD+ contains 100 mg of NAD+ per serving, enough to boost NAD+ levels in the body compared to doses 10-20x higher of NAD+ precursors.

It’s not enough to take niacin or NAD+. For anti-aging, disease prevention, and longevity benefits, you need an NAD+ supplement that translates to higher NAD+ levels in your cells. Core Med Science has done the hard work of developing the most effective liposomal solutions, so taking Core Med Science Liposomal NAD+ is easy and provides optimal benefits.
